Reading, writing and computer coding -- the basics of the future
2012-13 Campus Teachers of the Year
The distinguished honor of District Teachers of the Year will soon be awarded to one elementary and one secondary teacher in Crowley ISD. The recipients will be introduced at the School Board meeting on Thursday, May 30 at 6:30 pm.

Three Health Science students from the Bill R. Johnson CTE Center have been accepted into the Texas Health Resources Youth Prodigy Program. This program creates a fast-track for graduating seniors transitioning from high school to a professional health care career.
More than 300 students apply and only 25 are accepted into the Prodigy program each year. "This program is life-changing for the students and their families, and we are thrilled to be a part of not only shaping their career paths but also serving as their introduction to the field of health care," said Dr. Jim Dunn, Texas Health's chief learning officer.

Seven students representing Crowley ISD's TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) and the Bill R. Johnson CTE Center brought home top awards after attending the TAFE Teach Tomorrow Summit State Conference and Competition in San Antonio on February 17-19.

Crowley ISD is proud to be home to the new Tarrant County College Crowley South Campus Center (TCC CSCC). The CSCC, which celebrated its Grand Opening on Monday, January 7th, occupies the second floor of CISD's Bill R. Johnson Career and Technology Education Center and is projected to serve 1,000 dual credit students and traditional academic transfer, workforce development, developmental education and continuing education students.
CISD students played a big role in the Grand Opening, including involvement from the CISD JROTC Panther Battalion, a combined Crowley and North Crowley high schools ensemble, members of the Crowley High School Marching Band, and CISD students of all ages featured in a video entitled, "Tomorrow Starts Here" about how CISD is preparing them for college.
so that all students achieve their full potential.
