FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What will my child wear?
Academy wear specific to the Fine Arts Academy is offered to students. The red, black gray, or white polos include a patch with the Fine Arts Academy logo and incorporates the school colors of SH Crowley Intermediate. A charcoal gray t-shirt with the Fine Arts Academy logo is also available as an option for Fridays. While encouraged to distinguish Fine Arts Academy students from our traditional students, the academy wear is optional for this year. How does my child get to school?
If your child's home campus is SH Crowley, you can find transportation information at www.crowley.k12.tx.us. Click on the "Parents and Students" tab, then "Transportation" on the alphabetical list. Click on the "Bus Route/Schedule Search" link and put in your address and the student's grade level. This page will tell you if your child is eligible to ride the bus. If your child is eligible, the page will give you the bus information.
If your child's home campus is not SH Crowley, transportation has created a bus route to pick your child up and bring him/her to SH Crowley. Your child will not go to his/her home campus first. You will need to contact Justine Beedle at firstname.lastname@example.org or 817-297-5960 to get the bus information. What fine arts classes will my child attend?
Fifth grade students will attend two fine arts elective classes. The options are art, choir, dance, and theatre. In addition, students will attend an Introduction to Band every other Friday.
Sixth grade students will attend two fine arts elective classes. The options are dance, tech art, theatre, and world art. In addition students may choose to be in band or choir.
During the first week of school, students rotate through each of the elective classes. At the end of the week, students are asked to rank their choices. We do our best to ensure that students are placed in their top two choices; however, we cannot guarantee it.
What does it cost for my child to attend the Fine Arts Academy?
There is no fee to attend the Fine Arts Academy. Your child's art elective may require additional supplies.
